Videos or images are not shown

If it happens that pictures and/or videos are not displayed, this may be due to the browser not (yet) finding the right path to the files after an update on our side.

To restore this path, it often helps to empty the browser's cache.


We have listed the most common Internet browsers and the respective instructions for clearing the cache:


Internet Explorer Empty cache:

Open Internet Explorer and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac.        

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del".   

In the "Delete browsing history" window, remove all ticks except for the option "Temporary internet and website files".

Confirm with "Delete" to clear the Internet Explorer cache.


IE versions 8 to 11: Empty cache:

Click on the cogwheel symbol in the top right-hand corner of the menu bar or on the item "Tools" and select the sub-item "Internet Options". 

In the window that opens, look for the option "Browsing history" in the tab "General" and click on "Delete". 

A new window opens. 

Confirm with "Delete".


Microsoft Edge replaces Internet Explorer as the default browser in Windows 10.

Microsoft Edge: Clear cache:

Open Edge and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac.        

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del".   

In the window that opens, select the option "Cached data and files" and confirm the process with "Delete".   

Use the menu bar as follows: 

Click the "Hub" symbol with the three dashes at the top right. 

Then select the "History" symbol marked by a clock. 

Click on "Delete entire history", select the option "Cached data and files" and confirm with "Delete".


Clear Mozilla Firefox cache: 

Open Firefox and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac.                

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del".   

In the "Delete recent history" window, a drop-down menu opens determine which period should be deleted. 

To clear the entire Firefox cache, select the option "All" and check "Cache". 

The other ticks can be removed. 

Confirm with "Clear now" and the cache is deleted. 

Alternatively, the "Clear entire history" window can also be called up via the menu bar.


Clear Google Chrome Cache:

Open Chrome and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac.        

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del". 

The "Delete browser data" window opens. 

In the drop-down menu, select the period for which the cache is to be cleared. 

To clear the entire Google Chrome cache, select "Entire period". 

In the overview, tick the option "Images and files in cache". 

Click on "Clear data" to confirm. 

Google Chrome also offers another option to clear the cache memory: 

Click on the symbol with the three dots in the menu bar at the top right and select the option "Settings". 

Then scroll all the way down in the window and display the advanced settings. 

Under the item "Security and privacy", select the option "Delete browser data" and confirm with "Delete". 


Clear Opera cache:

In the Opera default settings, it is already specified that the cache is cleared when the browser is closed. 

If this setting is deactivated, the cache can also be cleared manually. 

Open Opera and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac. 

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del 

In the window that opens, select the period "since installation". 

Select the option "Images and files in cache" and complete the process by clicking on the button "Clear browser data". 

Alternatively, the Opera cache can also be cleared via the menu bar: 

Click on the Opera button at the top right and select the "Settings" option. 

Switch to "Advanced" and select the sub-item "History" in the menu bar. 

Click on the "Clear now" button to delete all content stored in the cache.


Clear Safari cache: 

Open Safari and enter the shortcut for Windows or Mac.        

Windows > "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del"             Mac > "Command" + "Shift" + "Del". 

A window opens asking if you really want to delete the cache. 

Confirm with "Enter" to clear the entire cache. 

Alternatively, the Safari cache on the Mac can also be deleted via the developer menu: 

Open Safari and click on "Safari" in the top left of the menu bar. 

Select "Preferences" and then "Advanced" in the window that opens. 

Check the box "Show 'Developer' menu in the menu bar". 

Select the item "Developer" in the menu bar and then the option "Empty cache memory".
